Strathpeffer Holiday 2017

Under leadership of Jim Coates, 27 members and friends enjoyed another fun week, this year based on the Highland Hotel. All of us would want to thank Sarah Dallas-Ross for her hard recee work in advance of the holiday; it was very hard luck that unexpected health issues prevented her from enjoying, with the rest of us, the fruits of her work.

The gallery photos are those available to date

Memory of Week?
Memory of Week?
It was rather a shame that we had worst weather in many years for our holiday but as true ramblers, we braved the elements. This group at Portmahomack had reward of brighter day ahead, unlike those who went to Rosemarkie on first full day of holiday

When reached halfway point, found the route description was less than adequate and very risky path to complete walk down east side of peninsula. A very long wall from lighthouse to the sea, without a stile, was a tough barrier, and some of group had to retreat by road

Sadly did not see any whales or dolphins on the walk to Tarbat Ness, but evidence found that they do fish the waters
